Welcome to our web site. Within its pages you can find who we are, who does what, and what it is we do in the wonderful rewarding world of barbershop, New York style.
I hope you can also sense the vibrant spirit of the Big Apple Chorus. Yes, it’s the music that calls us, but it’s more than that. It’s a brotherhood of kindred souls, a family. Coming to a Big Apple reheasal is like coming home.
We come from all walks of life, literally and figuratively. We’re based in Manhattan, but the majority of our members live elsewhere, many of them a considerable distance away. We range in age from the teens on up to ‘advanced middle age’. The only thing we have in common is our love of harmony.
We have high expectations, and we provide the musical training necessary to meet them, and then, when we do, we raise the bar again. It’s a joyful journey, and there are a lot of laughs along the way.
We invite you to come, be our guest, learn a little more about us, and maybe you’ll decide to join your voice with ours.
