2010 is going to be a wonderful year to be a member the Big Apple Chorus -- filled with memorable opportunities to perform for some of the most appreciative audiences in the world.
Will your personal highlight be standing side by side with your BACbrothers -- looking out over 8 to 10 thousand fans as they demonstrate their appreciation for the Big Apple's International Competition July performance in Philadelphia? Only 30 choruses from around the world clear the hurdle to compete with the best of the best -- and you're going to be performing with one of them.Maybe giving it your all on the BAC's annual May show -- for the best -- most sophisticated home town crowd in the world will be your most memorable moment. And why wouldn't it be when you already know that they're going to love all of absolutely terrific new music you'll be presenting and -- that it will frequently be peppered with just a bit of our characteristic Nu Yourk attitude?
On September 11th you'll stand shoulder to shoulder with your BACbrothers on 42nd street and crowds of New Yorkers will listen and remember as you perform to honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day. This is a moment you will never forget.
In October we'll have our annual chance to see how we stack up versus our friends who compete with the best choruses in our Mid Atlantic United States.
Beginning with the Friday just after Thanksgiving we'll once again become the singing ornaments on the South Street Seaport's 45 foot holiday chorus tree. Who knows -- you could be the star -- at the top of the tree.
Oh there's more --- lots more.
Did I mention some of the best coaches in the world?
How about the vocal production training from one of Broadways real stars Jackie Presti?
And what about the new arrangements crafted especially and exclusively for the our Big Apple Chorus? Solo opportunities? You bet.
Best of all -- ? Well -- for many it's the BAC'c culture of brotherhood -- men from four states sharing a common passion to perform extraordianry music with extraordinary skill.
